Apricot Kernel Oil: High emolliency; wonderful in almost any cosmetic application. Avocado Oil: Contains protein, vitamins A, D, and E, and some amino acids. Nourishing and conditioning for dry skin and hair. Baking Soda: Skin soothing, softening. Helps relieve itching, deodorizes, softens bath water. Beeswax: A wonder-ingredient if there ever was one! Beeswax is a natural emulsifier for lotions, creams, lip balms, and salves. Borax: Softens water, weak antiseptic. Calendula Petals: Healing properties derived from flower petals. Many cosmetic applications for irritated, chapped skin. Used to soothe inflammation of the skin. Carrot Oil: Excellent for sensitive skin, and is reported to tone skin, stimulating elasticity. Rich in vitamin A. Castor Oil: Acts as a humectant, wonderfully soothing and emollient. Boosts lather in handcrafted soaps. Chamomile Petals: Used in many bath and body applications, helps heal and cleanse impurities from the skin. Also used to freshen and soothe skin. Citric Acid: Derived from citrus fruit sugars, used in several ways in cosmetic preparations; adjusts acid-alkali balance, astringent. Cocoa Butter: Moisturizing, easily absorbed by skin. Softens and lubricates skin. Coconut Oil: Emollient, melts at body tempature. A lathering and cleansing oil with wonderful skin care oil properties. Epsom Salts: Soothes tired muscles and softens water while softening skin. Hempseed Oil: Derived from the seed of the Cannabis Sativa plant. Cold pressing the seeds yields a wonderful oil, rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins, and enzymes that are easily absorbed by the skin, helping moisturize and heal dry skin and burns.
